What format are my manuscripts stored in?
Plain Markdown files with YAML frontmatter, one file per scene or chapter, sitting in a regular folder — readable, diffable, and version-controllable with any tool you already use.
Can I bring my Scrivener project over?
Migration from Scrivener (and legacy RTF-based tools) into Leafbind's Markdown format is a core part of the roadmap, so existing manuscripts don't have to be retyped from scratch.
Do I need an AI subscription to use Leafbind?
No. Planned AI features (plotting help, proofing, drafting assistance) are bring-your-own-key and entirely optional — the core editor, progress tracking, and publishing work with zero AI involvement.
Which publishing platforms will be supported?
Amazon's Kindle store, plus adapters for serial platforms like Royal Road and Inkitt. Platforms without a public upload API get a "copy formatted chapter" fallback instead.
